Timeline shift object when changing visibility

Oct 14, 2015

Hi,

I have a problem:

When I click on and off the visibility icon (eye) for an item in the timeline, the item shifts a half second earlier (left).

This occurs at high zoom timeline and when we watch the end of the object.

The demonstration of the problem in the accompanying video.

Tested on:
Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows Vista,
Articulate Sotryline 2 Update 7 1509.1408

Does anyone have a solution to this problem ?

Hi, Arkadiusz -- Thanks so much for the video you've provided to illustrate the odd behavior you are encountering. Have you had a chance to review this information on Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in Storyline? You may want to ensure you are working locally as described, and also run through the repair steps to see if you find improvement. If issues persist, you are welcome to share your file and we will gladly take a closer look.

HI Christie,

I tested it on several computers (4 ). This problem still occurs.
On the one done steps from your link . Did not help.

If you have Articulate Storyline 2 probably at you too this problem. Follow the steps as in the film:

1. Add Rectangle,

2. Change timeline the maximum magnification,

3. Move the timeline so you can see the end recatngle,

4. Click fash Hide / Visiblie rectangle,

Rectangle moves to the left ,

I suspect that this bug in Articulate Storyline 2

Hi, Arkadiusz -- Thanks again for your patience while I attempted to reproduce the issue. Unfortunately, I was unable to recreate the issue in the attached file following the steps detailed above. I did discover, however, that others community members have reported similar issues and the matter is currently being investigated by our QA team. I plan to add this thread to the ticket, so while I do not have a workaround or a timeframe for resolution, I will be sure to update here with any new information I receive. Thank you for your input.

Thanks for your patience, Arkadiusz, as I was in a meeting. :) I was able to make the necessary adjustments on my end and experienced the behavior you exhibited in your 2nd screencast. I have gone ahead and added your thread to the QA ticket and although I do not have a timeframe I can share in which to expect resolution, I will definitely make you aware as soon as I hear anything more from QA.
