I'm used to working in Flash or After Effects where depending on the position of the playhead you see only the elements present at that time. Storylione it appears shows everything thats in the timeline all the time unless you hit play. For example I have 4 images that I want to play one at a time in the same location. It gets clunky turning visibility on and off to see whats what. Am I missing something or do any of you have strategies for this situation?
I'm with you. Scrubbing through visible elements on the timeline is something I've gotten used to since early versions of Flash (15 years ago...) If this is something you want to see improved, please add a feature request.
In the mean time, I've gotten into the habit of grouping objects and using the visibility controls. That, or using video to build sequences and importing as an MP4.
Thanks so much for the quick response :-) You know I'm tempted to use video but don't want to make things too large .. I could cruise if I did things in after effects .. hmmmmm ;-)
Thanks Pierre for linking the two and encouraging others to submit requests as well. The more the better and then go directly to our product development team for review.

You're not missing anything, that's how the SL timeline works.

The other thing that helps quite a bit is changing the labels on the left or naming images in a meaningful way.
