Timeline Units

Jan 10, 2014

Folks,

I have a question about the timeline units, in the hopes I can change them in the software's setting somehow.

On the timeline the time is presented in absolute time in seconds meaning that once you get to 60 seconds the next second is 61 as opposed to 1min - 1 sec.

I have been marrying up audio with an audio program (Audacity) and video with Camtasia (a video program) and both use time in the units of 1min-1sec and not absolute. This means that when I'm adding things to the timeline I need to constantly do the math as to where I am on the timeline, it's very annoying and reduces my productivity.

Is there a way to change the timeline time stamp to use the convention of 1min-1 sec as opposed to 61sec.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks Graham,

I will submit a feature request as I believe it would be beneficial to have the ability to change from one convention to another depending on need. I don't know the programing behind Storyline so I'm not sure how difficult something like that would be, but considering it is just a display with a little math, it may not be too difficult.

Id also like to have the ability to zoom out the timeline out a bit further for ease of maneuvering through long timelines. I should make a request for that as well.

Thanks Graham
