Timer skipped with enter button in Explorer + Flash
May 29, 2018
Hi everyone
We are experiencing an issue about the next button. Even if the button is disabled, waiting to be enabled at the end of the scene timer, it is possibile to use it. The "trick" consists in focusing on the next button (with tabs for example) and press enter on the keyboard.
The trigger works well with Chrome and Firefox but, unfortunately, we need it to work in Explorer with Flash, due to our client specs.
At the moment we are thinking to remove the next button and trigger it when the timer is filled, there is another way to fix it?
Thanks

Hello Leopoldo!
I created a quick sample file with the next button disabled until the timeline ends. After tabbing to the next button, pressing the Enter key does not allow me to jump to the next slide.
Would you mind testing this link in Internet Explorer to let me know if the same things happens in your testing? Thanks!
Hey Alyssa--do you happen to have that sample file with the next button disabled until the timeline ends? I want to see if I program my functionality properly--as I want my learners to go through the content and have the next button disabled until that timeline ends. Thx, Shashi
Absolutely, Shashi! I created this sample file using the latest version of Storyline 360.
Alyssa--many thanks!
Thank you so much Alyssa! It looks working fine.
It looks the same as our packages, but it works :) Now I'm wondering where is the difference.
Hi Leopoldo!
It sounds like you're using the same triggers I used, but it's not working well in your file. Is that right?
Would you mind sharing a sample of your file with me? I'll look over it to see if I can spot any differences. Sometimes a second pair of eyes is helpful. 👀
