There is a way to turn on a Layer on a specific time, based on a global timer?
ex: the timer start co count when you press pres continue in the first slide and after 10 minutes don't worry where you are you launch a Layer with a message?
There isn't a way to do this with any of the built in functionality of Storyline, but it may be something that folks in the community are able to offer an alternative idea around - so hopefully they'll be able to reach out here.
Just to me more clear, the timer don't count the time the player lose between you press "next" and the next slide starts. Depends a lot of the speed of the PC.

Well, if you need that kind of accuracy, then Javascript is your best option. Have a look at this thread here.

Hi,
The suggested solution was perfect!
So glad to hear it Sergio - thanks for popping back in with an update.
Bad news, seems the timer stops in some events so is not accurate, any suggestion?
As Ashley mentioned above here, this is not something built-in, so hopefully someone will be able to chime in with additional suggestions.
Can you provide some more info about the instances when you see the timer not working and maybe also share your .story file here?

I'm hoping to see a timer and a random number generator built in at some point.
Here a test, you can check.

how to add
Used by a shape trigger on "timerrect 1" on "Timer" in "4 Clean"
Trigger Text: "Add 1.00 to timer When the Line Motion Path 1 animation completes If timer is Less than or equal to 600.00 "
• Used by a shape trigger condition on "timerrect 1" on "Timer" in "4 Clean
Trigger Text: "Add 1.00 to timer When the Line Motion Path 1 animation completes If timer is Less than or equal to 600.00 "
Hello Anupama,
I just responded to your posts here and here that each have a .story example.
We can keep the conversation going there.
