Titles on all pages in storyline

Oct 10, 2012

I am new to Storyline, but used Captivate years ago.   I am wondering if there is an easy way to put in a title bar in all slides of a "chapter" without having to copy it to each individual slide.  Same thing for the back/next buttons - do they have to be put in to every slide, or can they be put in once, and carried over?  Is that in a template?

Thanks!

Hi Janet,

Storyline makes use of Slide Masters in a similar way to PowerPoint, so if you want the same title across all your slides I'd place it on the master accessible from the View menu.  Alternatively if it's just a title field you're after you can select the slde layout from the Home menu (again in the same way as PowerPoint) and it will give you a title placeholdeer for you to populate on a slide by slide basis.

In regard to the Next/Previous buttons they are by default on the Player template but you can turn them off slide by slide in the Slide Properties - the cog icon found on the base slide layer at the bottom right side of the interface, or in place of the Slide Layer panel if you are in Story View.  Bespoke Next/PRevious buttons can be added either slide by slide, or on the master if you prefer.

Hope this makes sense

Regards

Helen
