Toggle Responses in Quiz

May 13, 2013

Hi Articulate Community!

I am creating a quiz question where the learner must look at a picture and determine if the location is smoking or non-smoking.  To reduce the number of slides/clicks, I combined three images on one slide and used a pick multiple response format.

Does anyone know how I can program the answers to toggle so that the learner can only select one of the options for each answer?

The sample is attached for your reference.

I would appreciate any guidance on this topic.  Thanks so much!

HI Dina,

See Scene Two in the attached. Basically, select the two answers that are a set, right click, and choose Button set from the shortcut menu. I used the default "button set 1" for the first set and created a button set 2 and button set 3 for the others.

A tip: I would use option buttons instead of check boxes for these. Typically, option buttons (sometimes called radio buttons) are used when Learners may only select one choice. Check boxes typically indicate more than one choice is possible.
