One thing I've noticed in Storyline is the absence of a tool tip option on hyperlinking a word. Is there any way to add a tool tip, like in Powerpoint, while hyperlinking a word? Or any way to simulate it perhaps?
I'm trying to convince my clients to migrate to Storyline. And this is an important functionality that is needed very regularly in my courses. Any help is appreciated.
Tx, Gerry. And for the details you provided. You got there b4 I did! I like the confirmation though. Also, wondered about underlining the word, for "usability" "what the user expects" ...

Yeah, I struggled with that. Eventually I went with the simple hyperlinking-looking effect. Think I posted on that during the beta and got no definite opinions either way.
Though now I wonder if a dotted line under the word might have been better . . .
Basically I have a case study to incorporate in my presentation (module). I was looking at a way to include a storybook like object (like you have in Engage) in storyline. But I haven't found anything like it. So I'm kinda stumped.

Hi!
Here is one way that I did: http://community.articulate.com/forums/p/13404/79319.aspx#79319
Just used a layer with a mouseover trigger to show the layer.
That screenshot looks really neat. But I didn't quite understand what you did there.
Hi!
To my slide, I created a new layer to hold the definition or tooltip.
On this layer, I created the tooltip. I positioned it so it would appear best over the base layer.
On the base layer I then underlined the word I wanted to show the definition.
I then put a rectangle over that underlined term. I made the rectangle with no fill and no outline so it looked transparent.
To the rectangle I then added this action to show the layer with the definition:
Then, on the properties for this layer, I made sure the base layer was still visible:
Also, instead of doing a rectangle, you can also insert a hotspot, probably the better way to go.
Gerry, that is VERY cool. I just did one really quickly. I'm thinking of creating a Screenr for this. Is that OK by you? Don't want to use your stuff.
Adhir, here's what I did.
Main Slide
Photo of my son (REALLY cute one when he was 2 years old...but I digress).
Action: Show layer
Layer: Brent Photo
When: Mouse Hovered Over
Object: Text Box: Brent
Adhir, thanks so much for asking this question. Such great inspiration and creativity on these forums. Gerry, let me know and TX for the answer.
Go for it, Rebecca! No "ownership issues." Just appreciate you helping out.

Thanks Gerry. That really helped.
And since it seems like you're the expert around here, do you have any suggestions as to where or how I might find or use a case study template?
Hi, Adhir!
Sorry - I'm not the only expert here. We have many, many of them. Great community and folks.
Just to be sure--what do you mean by a case study template?
