I'm not sure I understand what you're looking for - is there a specific template you're looking for?
There are a number of templates available here that have been created by our community team, but if you're looking for a specific template could you offer a bit more information about where you saw the Storyline course/file or if there is more to the title/description that would help me search for it?
Thanks Becky for the assist, I drew a total blank on that one!
Susan, I didn't see a case for you yet (If you have a case number, I'm happy to check into it) but you may need to conduct the repair of Storyline to have the templates that are built into Storyline.
I only have modern interactions. There is an arrow but it isn't enabled. No other templates. I've used storyline before, so I know there are lots of great templates. Please tell me how to find them.
Those should be included within Storyline 2 by default, and if you don't see them I'd look at conducting the repair of Storyline or if you don't see any templates or can't use that drop down, you may want to look at downloading one of the other free templates first to see if that appears and then allows you select from the other templates.
Also, as an FYI when you reply via email your signature is included in the post so you're welcome to edit that and remove the information as necessary.
I think I also just replied to you in another thread here where it looks like you're going to go through the repair process.
This thread is a bit older, so I don't know that Liz is still subscribed but you may want to send her a message using the 'contact me' feature to reach out.
I solved my problem too. I have made a copy of the missing template from my personneal computer to my professional.
Note that on my personnal computer I had installed different version from SL1 to SL2 and I think that the missing templates were previously installed with SL1.
Ashley do you confirm that last version of SL2 doesn't contain all templates?
Yes, it seems that it contains a different set of templates upon start, but you're still able to use the SL1 templates - although the same would not be true in the reverse. If you've got SL1 and SL2 installed on the same system as you did on your professional computer that is likely why you saw the templates there but not in the personal set up. I'm glad you were able to get them downloaded and figured out.
I just saw this and was looking at one of the tutorials "Adding New Slides" and noticed I don't have those Top Interactions either. I purchased SL2 recently and only have Modern.
I saw your instructions Ashley to uninstall, reboot and re-install. I feel hesitate in doing that as there were some issues at the start when I purchased it. But if you think it's safe, I will do it.
As I've heard from a few users if they didn't have SL1 already installed, when they installed SL2, they didn't receive the same templates. Whereas if you had installed both, the templates carried from 1 to 2. You can find all of our templates here in the ELH Downloads section.
It doesn't distinguish between SL1 and SL2 in the search, but if you look at the date of the comments or the total download numbers, you can see that some are much older and therefore created in SL1.
I downloaded from your link Eric. I open Templates and it gave me the link to download free templates from the ELH community which is the same as what I have now. There were no templates. They may have removed them?

Hi Susan,
There is something called Top Interactions available from the templates area. One way to get there, if you already have SL open.
1. Click to Insert a new slide
2. In the menu on the left of the Insert Slides dialog box, select Templates.
3. Click the drop-down arrow beside the word Template near the top of the window and scroll to Top Interactions (see screenshot).
I believe this is included as part of the package when Storyline is purchased.
Hi Rebecca,
yes, that's what I was looking for. I don't have them in my Storyline package so I've contacted product support.
thanks

Hi Liz,
What update/version of Storyline are you using? We're currently on Storyline 1 Update 8 and Storyline 2 update 3. If they've recently disappeared, you'll want to look at conducting the repair (storyline 1 repair here).
Also, you can download templates here.

Hi Liz
I have exactly the same problem. Did you find a solution ?
Hi Eric,

Right ashley.
Do you follow me 😉 ?
I pretty much follow all our forum members - and those with memorable avatars/photos are easier to remember where you helped them :-)
Hi Ashley and Eric. Yes I found that these very useful templates haven't been included in Storyline 2. You can migrate them over though
Here’s what you can do to migrate Storyline 1 templates to your Storyline 2 software –
1. Download the zipped Storyline templates here –http://vinzon.articulatetest.com/StorylineTemplates.zip
2. Extract to your local folder.
3. Double-click the .storytemplate file. When asked to upgrade, click Upgrade.
4. Wait for the upgrade to finish. The Top Interaction template dropdown should now show in Storyline when you create a new slide.
I solved my problem too. I have made a copy of the missing template from my personneal computer to my professional.

Ashley, is there an easier way to get these templates. Are they posted somewhere in the ELH community? If not, can they be so I can just download?
Hi Daniela,
if I am right the Top interractions are installed with SL 1.
So, perhaps you can install SL1 and copy and paste the Top Interraction files from the SL1 template folder to the SL2 one.
SL1 can be dowloaded here.
Otherwise we could send it to you via private mail but the files could be too big.
Hope it helps.

Hi Ashley,
the download section you mention doesn't contain older SL1 templates.
Hi Eric,
It doesn't distinguish between SL1 and SL2 in the search, but if you look at the date of the comments or the total download numbers, you can see that some are much older and therefore created in SL1.
Hi Ashley,
sure but if you have a look on the screenshot given by Rebecca in this discussion you can see the Top Interraction included by default in SL1 package.
But you cannot find them in the download section where you have additional template created with SL1 but not included by default.
Hi Eric, I am downloading SL1 now. Should I uninstall it after?
I downloaded from your link Eric. I open Templates and it gave me the link to download free templates from the ELH community which is the same as what I have now. There were no templates. They may have removed them?
Could you share the templates through DropBox?
