I have created a course and am wondering if there is a way for me to find out how long the course should take for someone to complete it. I realize that some of the slides might be self-paced on timing but is there a way to find out how long the automatically timed slides would last?
Yes, in Storyline click Home > Publish and then click the ellipsis button to the right of the Title field. This brings up a Project Info window, where there is a Duration field that shows the approximate length, based on how long your slide timelines are:
How can I show the elapsed time of each individual slide while audience is watching and the total time for the entire presentation after my audience arrives at my site? Thanks,
Donna is correct that this feature is not built in, but I'm wondering if the sample Steve Flowers provided in this thread will meet your needs, or provide you with the tools you need.
The initial question was about showing elapsed time for an interaction, but if you keep reading you'll see the question evolved, and if you scroll down you'll see he uploaded a file called Java Script timer function story. Curious to know if this will do the trick.

Hi Cammen,
If I'm not mistaken, there's no built-in feature for that in Storyline.
We normally use our LMS to track the duration (number of times viewed and duration viewed).
Thank you.
I saw this in Articulate Presenter.

I am surprised storyline doesn't have this feature.
