You could do it with invisible shapes and trigger the feedback change. More shapes for a more accurate track. You could also track the order of the intersection with some more complex triggers or by mixing in a Javascript trigger in each intersection.
This interaction is pretty simple and relatively quick to build. Got me thinking about what else could be possible using a web object. Something like this is pretty neat:)
