Track time elapsed since student's last visit

Sep 30, 2020

Hello,

Is there any way to track the time gap between each time a student visits a course? The idea is to present content to a student depending on how long ago they viewed other content. I realize I can use variables to incrementally increase a value each time the student visits the course, but I would like it to be independent of the number of visits and dependent on the actual time elapsed between each visit (i.e. 1 day vs 3 days vs 7 days, etc.) so that this could be used to trigger which content is available. The variable must be the actual number of days. Some mobile apps do exactly this, but is it possible to incorporate this into Articulate? Thanks in advance!

Hello Concept Pédago!

Great question! This data is tracked in a Learning Management System rather than on the authoring side using Storyline 360.

An LMS will track what time the learner logged in and how long it took them to complete the course. Both of these settings would help you track how long it's been since the learner accessed the content.

I'll let the community chime in with any recommendations of LMS's that have this setting.
