A new client requirement is to launch a captivate simulation (published for web/HTML) to be launched from the course screen build in Storyline. It will be hosted on LMS.
Is there a way to track the status of the captivate simulation in storyline for completion/incomplete??
Peter, is there some way for a Captivate sim to submit a command to via javascript to make the next page button visible, or set a variable like VarSimViewed to yes or 1? Then Shaffy could set a variable that could be posted to the LMS, right?
Peter doesn't get into the forums as much any more - but we can't say what a Captivate simulation could do or couldn't do since it's not one of the Articulate products. In regards to Javascript, I'd also defer to the community - as it's not something we're equipped to offer support for, although you can review some general best practices here.

Hi Shaffy,
If you're going to be bringing the Captivate simulation in as a web object, then I'm afraid you won't be able to track it using Storyline.
Is the Captivate simulation something you could recreate using Storyline's screen recording tool?

How about a next page command. Peter could omit the Next page button so that users can only continue when the sim has been viewed.
I just realized that Peter's post is from 2 years ago, I hope he has figured it out by now. I would appreciate an answer to my questions though.
