I'm using SCORM package with tracking set to report "Complete" depending on the number of slides viewed. The tracking works fine in moodle but the score is always 0, I would have expected the number of slides actually seen (or a % of the total) to be reported. Students end up with a "Pass" or "Complete" status and score 0..
Is it correct that the score is only reported when tracking using a result slide? Is there a workaround with a result slide that would provide the number of slides viewed as a total score ?
If you're only tracking by slides viewed, there isn't a score to report - other than complete or not. It won't tally a score based on the % of slides seen or from how many you wanted the user to see. There are two different "complete" options as mentioned here. You may also want to review this article on troubleshooting common LMS tracking and reporting problems.
Moodle has a grading method called "Learning objects" which can be used when the package doesn't report a raw_score - it might provide what you need. More info here:
Thank you so much Dan, this is exactly what I needed. I have changed the grading method to Learning Object and the activity completion criteria to "user must receive a grade". I am now able to manually validate an activity for a student by giving a score in the grade book.

Hello Cédric,
Under Reporting and Tracking options, you'll see a dropdown menu for "LMS Reporting".
For unscored content, I usually change this to "Completed/Incomplete". In our LMS this eliminates the score and just gives us a Completed status.
