I am wondering if it is possible to have an option to turn off the transcript during a module. I am developing a module where the script will appear along with the voice over, but if a learner decides they do not require it is there a way to have an option to hide transcript half way through a module?
You may want to also consider moving the Notes from the player sidebar to a player tab. As a tab, learners can open or close the notes when needed, instead of the notes displaying on every slide.Â
Thank you Alyssa, that sounds like a good idea to test with our group which they would prefer. How would I go about making it a tab rather than in the side bar?
First, open the Player Properties window by clicking Player. Then, select Notes in the Player Tabs area. Click the up arrow to move Notes to Topbar Right or Topbar Left.
It's now a test with the team to see if they prefer the tab transcript or the closed captions. Both lose a bit of the visual screen but the tab is a lot more straightforward that the closed captions.

Hi Mat,
Can you tell us a little more about how you've added the transcript to your slides? Are you using the Notes panel, or something else?
With a bit more information, we can point you in the right direction. 😊
Hi Alyssa,
Yes I am currently using the notes panel.
We want our learners to be able to remove them if not needed during the module, currently exploring the option of closed captions as an alternative.

Hi Mat!
First, open the Player Properties window by clicking Player. Then, select Notes in the Player Tabs area. Click the up arrow to move Notes to Topbar Right or Topbar Left.
Take a Peek at this quick demo to see how it's done!
Thank you very much Alyssa, works perfectly.

Thanks again
You're welcome, Mat! It's always good to have options. 😊
