We have a diverse workforce with several Hmong Americans. I would like to be able to translate our training presentations into Laotian/Hmong if possible. I don't see this language in Storyline. Can you add other languages to be translated in Storyline? If not, are there other alternatives out there that would work?
Articulate Storyline should have no problems supporting any language that you need to use. Right now, we have Player Text Labels available for Hindi, but not for Malayalam or Tamil. So, you'll just need to create your own. Take a look at this tutorial for more information.
Also, if you're using a right to left language, you'll want to review this article as well.
Thanks Christine for the quick response. I watched the tutorial, but I am still not sure how I can get translate form English to the Hmong language. The tutorial describes preloaded languages, but I didn't see anything about loading additional languages. Maybe I am just missing something. Any details on how to do this would be appreciated.
Christine, sorry for the delayed response. There are languages loaded on the computer, and there are many of them, but I do not see the Hmong language. Do you have the Hmong language in your list? Is there a way to add languages?
Personally, I haven't worked with those languages. You may need to install the language pack from Microsoft, if you haven't already. I'm not sure what version of Windows you're running, but you should be able to find some information about the packs from the Microsoft site. Here's one page that may help with this.
In order for Articulate software to work with a language, it needs to be installed on your operating system, itself. If you're unable to find a language pack for Windows, you may want to try contacting Microsoft to see if they can point you in the right direction.
Let me know how it goes! If you're able to find any additional resources for Hmong, please share them here. You never know when someone else may need to find the same information.

Hi Brian,
Do you already have the machine/operating system localized for the language(s)?
Thanks!
