This support article suggests that there might cases when triggers should be translated:
Trigger conditions can’t be translated using this process. They’ll need to be translated manually in Storyline.
Can you clarify in what cases they would need to be translated? I understand them to be defined sets of actions and as such I cannot image a scenario when they would need to be translated. Can you help?

I would first check to see if they have been exported in the word document (as more often than not they do. If not just add them to the slide notes and then they will get exported and you can cut and paste them back in.

If you use a text variable you may need the text string to be translated.

Trigger conditions can have text variables associated with them it is those values that may not be exported in the translation document.
