I've experimented with inserting a video onto a Storyline slide, where the background has been removed from the video and replaced by transparency so that it can be overlayed over other elements on the slide.
My video is showing with a black background instead of transparency, although I've checked that it does have a transparent background in other applications.
Adobe CC has removed the FLV export option from After Effects and Premire. Are there any other formats that Storyline will recognize the alpha channel.

Hi Drew,
Since your .mov video will be encoded to an MP4 upon publishing, you may want to look at using a FLV with transparency.
Here's how Storyline encodes movies you insert into your courses, based on the file format of your videos and the publishing options you choose.
Thanks for the clarification Ashley.
I knew it could be done because I'd seen it before!
Thanks again, Drew

Hi Will,
There aren't any other video formats where it would be recognized - so you may want to look into another tool to create the video files.
