Trigger actions based on the timeline of a video?

Hi there,

I'm working on a project where we use a lot of video. What I want to do now is to trigger a layer to show when the timeline of a video reaches a certain position (e. g. 60 seconds).

All I can to for now is to trigger the action based on the timeline of the slide. So when I pause the video, after 60 seconds into the slide the layer shows nevertheless .

Is it somehow possible to link the trigger of the layer to the timeline of the video instead of the one of the slide itself?

Just a quick thought (haven't tested it):

You could put a hotspot over the video which keeps the person from pausing the video.
If you want to pause the video, create a button that shows a layer.
On the layer properties, set it to pause the timeline of the base layer.
On the layer, places a play button that hides the layer.

That should work

Thanks for the reply. But since we allow the learners to jump to different positions of the video using the controls of the video-player, this wouldn't work for us.
