Trigger actions based on the timeline of a video?

Aug 02, 2018

Hi there,

I'm working on a project where we use a lot of video. What I want to do now is to trigger a layer to show when the timeline of a video reaches a certain position (e. g. 60 seconds).

All I can to for now is to trigger the action based on the timeline of the slide. So when I pause the video, after 60 seconds into the slide the layer shows nevertheless .

Is it somehow possible to link the trigger of the layer to the timeline of the video instead of the one of the slide itself?

Just a quick thought (haven't tested it):

  • You could put a hotspot over the video which keeps the person from pausing the video.
  • If you want to pause the video, create a button that shows a layer.
  • On the layer properties, set it to pause the timeline of the base layer.
  • On the layer, places a play button that hides the layer.

That should work
