Trigger menu looks weird

Hi! I was wondering if anyone else has issues with the trigger menu. Whenever I add a trigger, the menu collapses in an odd way and becomes unreadable.
I am sending an attachment of what it looks like (see the menu on the right side). I'm curious what could cause this and if there is anything to fix it?
My current fix is to go to another slide and come back, but of course that's not ideal. :)
Thank you!

Hi Evelien,
I'm not sure what's going on there but from what I've read so far in these forums is that Storyline requires a display setting of 100% for scale and layout. Here's the article.
If that is not the case, repairing Storyline might fix it. Here are the Storyline 360 and Storyline 3 guides which can walk you through it.
Thanks, I did actually switch it to 100% but it still happens. I'll try to see if repairing will fix the problem!
Yikes, Evelien. Your screenshot had me do a double take!
I agree with starting with a simple Storyline repair to see if that helps resolve the distortion. If that doesn't help, please let our stellar Support Team know here. They'll do what they can to ensure this view doesn't appear again!
I have the same from some time. I think it starts with one of the updates at the beginning of the year. I've already 100% scale, so will ask IT to do the repair. Nobody comes back with the problem, so probably it could help.
Hi there, Radosław. I'm really sorry you've come across this oddity.
We heard other reports of this problem, and our team is working on nailing down the root cause. While it's been a tough one for us to replicate, we'll share an update here as soon as we have new information!
This started happening to me after the update this week. I have to close the storyline file and reopen to fix, repeatedly throughout the day.
Same thing here.... right after the update. The triggers are collapsing. We've been jumping to another slide and coming back to it to clear it, but it continually happens.
I had this problem also, it lasted a couple months, then just went away. I took no preventative action either, it just quit happening. Wish I could help, that was a very annoying issue.
Hello Beth, Bob, and Joe.
I appreciate you reaching out and sharing the details of what you are seeing as well.
We do have this as an open issue that our team is looking into and this conversation is attached so that we can share any updates directly with you here.
Now, I can confirm that repairing Storyline didn't solve the problem. Crazy triggers comes back after a few hours.
Setting the monitor I edit Storyline on to 100% seems to have controlled the issue for me, but it is super annoying as it makes everything smaller thus defeating the purpose of having a giant monitor.
Thanks for the update, Beth. Our team is still looking into this and this conversation is attached so that we can share any additional information with you here.
same problem occurring for me too ! , mostly when copying triggers from another module. When pasting them into new module they become squished and illegible. VERY counter productive and need a fix asap please.
I've been seeing the same problem for quite a while. Sometimes everything is so bunched up that I can't even select the trigger I need.
Also, selecting a trigger doesn't always activate the buttons on top.
Idem for me.
Hi JC,
Could you share a copy of that file with our Support Team? Even if you're still this on multiple files, it'll help with our investigation to test one of your exact files that have caused the issue.
Angela,
Can you tell me how you're copying the triggers from one module to another? Do you mean between .story files or within separate scenes in one .story file?
Done.
Same problem has been happening for me as well since the update. Also, I have a problem of where my triggers do not work when I look at storyline on a second monitor. When I move it back to the main monitor, they suddenly work. I don't know if anyone else has been having this problem as well. I have a project that is due and it has been really slowing down my progress. I hope a fix comes soon...
Hi Bredy and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience as well. Are you able to undock and re-dock your panel to get it to work again? That seems to be working for many in the meantime.
By replying, you should now be subscribed to this conversation where we will be able to share any updates we may have.
Unworkable.
Yes undocking and redocking works temporarily, but the problem comes right back when I click on a trigger. The only way is to quit Storyline and reopen the file. Time consuming and disrupting.
Hi Leslie,
Yes, I undock and re-dock and it will fix it. However, once I add or change a trigger, the problem immediately starts again...
I understand. Thanks for the feedback JC and Bredy.
I posted this in the post I started on this issue, but wanted to sure I am seen in this post too. >>> OMG.... It is back. I just did the recent Update and now I am having the squished trigger window problems again. So annoying. If I switch between docking and undocking it goes away, but only until I do anything in the trigger window. There does not seem to be any one reason for its occurrence, it just plain ole happens no matter what now. I so wish I did not update now. Is there a way to go backwards in versions? However others where having this problem with the last version too, while I was not. I thought I had gotten rid of the issue. I am attaching a very simplified image of the issue showing only a couple over-lapping triggers. It really becomes terrible with a screen with many triggers. Please fix this, if I can help let me know.
In thinking on this, I wonder if the issue is caused during the update process. I had it for a while did an update, it went away, then today I updated and it has returned... just throwing that out there.
Hi Joe,
I don't think it's related to a recent update, because I've had this issue for quite a while.
