Trigger not working
Feb 14, 2017
I have a slider set to change the state of a "calculate" button from disabled to normal when the slider moved either to the left or right. I also have a text box that can be tapped that will move the slider left or right. I have 3 different slides with the same interaction (slightly different calculations). Slide 2.2 works perfectly all the way around. Slides 2.3 and 2.4 do not. Sliding the slider does not trigger the calculate button. If I click the text box, it changes the state, but the slider doesn't move. I have compared the trigger lists and they look the same, including the order of triggers. Can someone help me find what I a missing?
Thanks for your help.

The sliders on slides 1.3 and 1.4 have different variables attached to them. Edit the slide triggers to change the button state to use variables Slider3 and Slider5 (instead of Slider1).
Thank you Michael. I changed them like you suggested and they work... i dont understand how you found that out. When I looked at them, they all say slider 1 (which is how it is labeled on the timeline).
With a slider selected on a slide, you can check (and change) which variable is assigned to that slider by clicking the Design tab and then check the Variable dropdown list. Everytime you create, or copy&paste, a slider a new variable is created and assigned to that slider.
That's awesome... didn't know that... might save me some work in the future...especially since I have to duplicate the entire course for Spanish. Thanks again for your insight.
Sliders can be used in all sorts of ways, see here for just a few examples.
