For the life of me, I cannot figure out what is going on with this slide. I have an error layer that should display when the user clicks the next button if any of 6 button shapes are normal instead of visited.
This layer only shows if I go back to the slide by using the Previous button or from the menu, rather than when the next button is clicked. I've rearranged the order of triggers, tried writing variables instead of using the state of shapes and nothing I do works.
Seems like a simple thing, what am I doing wrong? I've attached the affected slides from my project. The second slide (with 6 buttons) is the one that should show the error layer.
Your triggers were showing the error layer as you wanted, but then continuing in the list of triggers for "when the user clicks the next button", and jumping to the next slide before you could see it.
As Russell suggests, your jump trigger also needs conditions.
