So sorry you're running into that issue. We've seen other reports of this, but it's been a challenge for us to reproduce it in our own testing.
Multiple users have said that you can easily fix the overlap by slightly adjusting the width of the trigger pane--have you had success with that on your side?
Here are two images of different triggers. These are representative of these triggers builds. But this happens for me on different projects and many trigger panes. I can look and see if there is a theme to when it happens. I know it consistently happens with conditions but not all conditionals.
I will attach the file so you can see if it appears on your system.
Thank you Kyle! I see the same thing when I open your file despite trying to undock the panel, widening it, or deleting and recreating the problematic triggers. It's definitely difficult to work with triggers that look like that. When I built a clean file and created triggers similar to yours, using long object names and variables in the conditions, they still looked normal.
I'm sharing your file with our support team so they can do a bit of in-depth testing. I'm hopeful we can figure out why this is happening. You'll get an email from them soon!
I'm getting the same issue. I have since I upgraded to the latest version. I have to undock the trigger pane to see the normal text, then any change I make overlaps the text again, so I have to dock it again. This is very clunky.
Storyline 3 Update 6 would be listed as build 3.6.18134.0. Can you double check that's the build you're using?
Our team is looking into this issue currently, so we'll keep you posted here once we have more details. Undocking/redocking the trigger panel is the workaround most folks are using or switching to a new slide.
I see things have changed. I now occasionally get whole lines of text overlapped but when I pop the trigger pane out the issue clears and I can pop it back in and it remains corrected. It seems like the frequency of the problem have decreased but I cannot confirm that. I will grab a video the next time it happens.
Well interestingly the very next tigger caused the same problem, this is very frequent now, and opening the variable panel didn't fix it (maybe save vs cancel is different) and there is some other interesting info in there. But the middle part of creating a trigger was a mistake. Sorry. https://360.articulate.com/review/content/1a4ce186-e943-4ec6-826a-35127598c196/review

Thanks for the response but no matter how I resize the trigger pane the issue is not resolved.
Wow, that's so odd, Kyle!
Can you share a screenshot of that entire trigger? Simply double click the trigger, and take a screenshot of the trigger window that appears. Thanks!

Here is a second video of the same thing with a different solution that worked. The cause is not apparently java script triggers.
