Hi, I haven't experienced it but from time to time other users have had issues. Try doing a save as of your file and seeing if the new version still has the same issues. Also check if you are up to date with Storyline updates.
I'd also open a new story to see if it happens with a new story or if it's just this one.
The Articulate support team can assist, and they have a place where you can upload the story in private.
If you are experiencing this issue on new projects as well as this one, you could also try uninstalling Storyline and reinstalling it.
Yes undocking and re-docking does clear the problem as does collapsing and uncollapsing the panel. This problem does seem more prevalent when moving a trigger up the 'list'.
As I just mentioned to Noel (above), I am using v3.27.18822.0 as later versions have caused Copy and Paste to stop working.
Please let me know if you hear any news on either of the above as I am slowly going crazy here! :-)
I have a suspicion that this (garbled triggers panel) problem is occurring when there is more than one instance of SL open at any time.
I realised that I had not seen the problem as I was working on one file. But it reared its ugly head again and I had recently opened another file in a separate instance.
I closed both and re-started SL and the problem has not (so far) manifested itself in the single file I have open.
I guess the resources of Windows must get stretched when there is more than one copy of a programme open?
Thanks for this additional information, Martin. We're wrapping up a fix connected to the trigger panel issue that'll be ready in our next update of Storyline 360!
Happy to let you know that update Vincent mentioned is ready today!
You'll find a fix for the issue where text overlapped in the triggers panel, making it difficult to read, today's update to Storyline 360, build 3.30.19518.0
To install the latest update launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline. Details here.
Not to worry - all bug fixes released in Storyline 360 will make their way into the next update of Storyline 3. Our team is finishing up some final checks and tweaks on that update, and it's currently looking like we'll be ready to roll that out mid-September. Once we know for sure, we'll pop back into these discussions to share!
We just released the newest version of Storyline 3, Update 7 this morning! This release includes a fix for when the text would overlap in the trigger panel.
The next step is to update Storyline 3 by downloading the latest update here.
As always, we are happy to answer any questions you have by posting in this discussion or you can contact our Support Engineers directly.
I just wanted to follow-up here and let you know we released another update for Articulate 360. It includes a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.
The issue you were running into where the copying and pasting features in the Storyline editor sometimes stopped working has been corrected as well.

Hi Martin,
Yes, this is an issue our team is aware of and looking into.
Undocking and re-docking the trigger panel is the interim workaround, but I understand that this can be frustrating.
I've added this conversation to the report as we track user impact and so that we can update you here as soon as we can.

We have the copy/paste issue reported as well and I've added this conversation to that report as well so that we can keep you up-to-date.

I would also appreciate an update on the copy/paste issue as that is preventing me from updating to the current latest release.

Is this bug fix coming to Storyline 3 too? I've been encountering the issue and I hope fixes like this aren't being reserved just for 360 subscribers.
