Trigger to reset a quiz

Apr 24, 2017

Hi!

I've set up a quiz where you have to put seven items in order. I want to allow learners to do the quiz/practice again if they want to and to be "forced" to do it again if they do it incorrectly, but I do not want to force learners to have to organize the 7 items again if they pass the quiz/practice correctly. (So "reset to initial state" will not work for this situation.)

I tried to use the "reset results" trigger, but there is no result slide attached to this quiz (nor do I want one), and when I go to select the "quiz" within the new trigger creation, nothing shows up.

Anyone know how I could create this?

Hello Jazzmine - Interesting question and bear with me as I try to understand without a visual 😁

  • How does the learner know they got it incorrect?
    • Do you have Correct/Incorrect Layers for feedback?
  • What was the problem with setting the slide property to 'reset to initial state'?

I'm envisioning:

  • Slide Properties set to 'reset to initial state'
  • Incorrect Layer: Trigger to jump to slide (same slide - which will reset based on properties)
  • Correct Layer: Two buttons - one to retake if they wish and one to move to the next slide

Let me know your thoughts. If you have a .story file, that would be helpful as well.
