I liked the trigger tutorial for Storyline. However, I would love to see more of what can be done - particularly with the conditions. Are there any other tutorials that delve further into what can be done with triggers?
Hi Ashley, I am having problems replying to your message. This is the third attempt! Your reply page keeps freezing and I can't send the message. Argh!
A forum member created this project to show how she tracks student progress. The buttons change to show a completed state after a student has visited a certain page. I want to know how the logic behind the button changes. How does the creator of this document create a custom state, which she calls completed? How does the condition get set up?
Hi Kerry, here is a tutorial that shows you how to create custom states (like the Completed state in your example). An here is a tutorial that describes the use of triggers and conditions (see under Step 6 for specific info on how to add conditions to a trigger).
It looks like Michael shared two great tutorials with you, so please let us know if you have additional questions after reviewing those. There is also an article here that goes through the definitions of the built in states.
In regards to the forum page, I had a bit of difficulty yesterday afternoon and I did a clearing of my cache and history to resolve the issue.

Hi Kerry,
I assume you've already seen the general tutorial here on triggers? I don't believe there is a specific tutorial on how to use conditions, but there are a number of examples in the community forums and a few in support articles, such as this one on how to disable the use of the next button until a user has interacted with all slide elements.

I would really appreciate any help you can give.
