I just did a quick test and I created a few basic triggers in SL1. I upgraded the file into SL2 and was able to copy and paste the triggers without issue.
Please let us know if you have any further issues. We may need to look at the SL1 file to see if we can duplicate the behavior
You always want to save and publish to your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.
If you need to place a copy of your project on a separate network drive or a for backup or versioning purposes, it's fine to do that after you've closed Storyline. Avoid reopening the project again until you've copied it back to your local hard drive.
Also, make sure the file paths to your projects and published output are well under the 260-character limit imposed by Microsoft Windows. (Publishing adds characters to the file path you selected. If it exceeds 260 characters, your published output will be incomplete.)

Just wondering, have you rebooted your machine since installing? Shouldn't make a difference but...
Re-booting hurts! No I haven't. I'll try that.
Out of curiosity, were you able to copy any of the triggers in the story file I attached? If you can, then it's probably me/my machine at fault.
Hello Rick,
I looked at your file and I was able to copy and paste triggers without issue.
If rebooting your machine does not work, you could follow the instructions described here, to see if this helps.
Let us know if you need anything further.
OK, now it works in a new story.
However, I imported a SL1 project into SL2 and can't copy the triggers. Is there an issue going from SL1 to SL2?

I recall that when I installed SL2 there was an option to send crash reports to y'all. Would those indicate anything?
I can now copy triggers but it is kind of erratic and sometimes SL2 just seems to hang when I'm doing something.
SL2 is installed on the main SSD and I have another 2TB HDD that holds all my files. Is there any sort of issue using that configuration? SSD vs HDD?
