Triggers don’t work properly after upgrade

Feb 19, 2021

Hi.

I’m self-taught in ASL and I really need help.

Namely, I was supposed to translate content in an ASL project, and I finished it during August 2020. But, after I additionally changed something during November, my file(s) won’t work properly☹. The project always breaks down during a preview. I have several independent copies of the project and they all breake down at the same spot. Trigger for the slide change don’t work as it should be, although trigger setup is correct. When I click state of the trigger, it goes to the wrong slide. In August this setup worked completely fine.
After many days of thinking I’ve finally found what could be the problem but, sadly, I cannot solve it. Seems like states embedded in the trigger don’t lead to the correct slide. Is this possible? How can I change it because I cannot find the way to edit it?
I’ve imported a print screen of the trigger because there is no way to upload entire project. Hope it will help you to get the picture.
Please help.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Goran Milosavljevic

Hello Goran!

I'm sorry you're running into this issue after a recent update! We haven't made any direct changes to triggers in recent updates, so I'm also interested to see what might've caused the inconsistency.

The doc was very helpful, but it would be more helpful to test your .story file to see the exact changes between versions. I'd recommend connecting with a support engineer so we can work with you directly in a case. If you'd like our team to sign an NDA, we are happy to, so just let us know!

I'll keep an eye on your case so that I can follow along!

Hi Goran!

I understand! I'd still recommend connecting with a Support Engineer since they can work directly with you to see what might be causing the issue. If you'd like to provide a non-disclosure agreement for a Support Engineer to sign for your documentation, we're happy to do that. A non-disclosure agreement is for your records to indicate that you've shared this course with our team and confirming that our policy states that the information provided to our team is confidential.
