Triggers in videos

Nov 06, 2013

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to add a trigger to my video at a certain times. For example at 00:30 seconds I want an object to show up.

Because the user will be restarting the video i need this to shop up at 30 seconds each time.

Thanks!

Hi, Sam

Go into your timeline and drag the object so its start time is at the 30-sec mark. That should do the trick!  =)

Oh, and if you want the video to restart every time the learner visits the slide, make sure you set the Slide Properties to "Reset to Initial State (on revisit)".

If that doesn't work or it's not what you meant, just shout out.

Cheers,

That doesn't quite work because I am adding 'Show video controls'.  So if a person goes forward and back on the video this wouldn't work. I was hoping there would be some way of adding a trigger whenever the video clicks to 30 secs. Even if the user does it like 4 times in row. Storyline probably doesn't support this right?
