Triggers not sticking

Oct 15, 2020

We are on the most current version of Articulate 360 and have found that the triggers can all change if changes are made to the slide.

For example we are using the Submit button as a Menu button, so have changed the text on it, and on each slide changed the trigger to be move to the menu slide.  this usually but not always changes back if I make a change to the slide, even a small change like updating the text to speech.

how can lock the trigger so it does not change?

Hi, Katherine,

What weird behavior. You might want to report that as a bug to Articulate. You can do that here:

It's a lot of work to repurpose the Submit button. To simplify your file, you could use a custom Menu button instead. Just add a tab in the Player Features that jumps to your menu slide.

Certainly handy to have those buttons close together if the users are allowed to jump around.

:-)

Another option would be to use only custom, on-slide buttons for all navigation. You could put your own Menu, Prev, and Next buttons on Master Layouts.

Or perhaps just put a custom Menu button on the layouts so it would appear directly above the Prev and Next buttons.

Both of those options impact the overall design, so it'd be easier to implement them at the start of a project. To keep the same aspect ratio for the main slide area, you could just add to the height of the slide size to accommodate the custom button(s).
