Triggers on inputs

Mar 04, 2020

I'm trying to create a simulation for users to take on an iPad.

I have inputs on a slide. The triggers are set up to jump to the next slide when they click on a hotspot if they enter data correctly in the input field... If it's not correct, it'll show a "Try Again" layer.

When I tap the hotspot I get the Try Again layer... I tap it once more and it'll proceed.

How do I get it adjust the variable with what a user entered in the input PRIOR to tapping the hotspot? (And without having to do a random tap somewhere else they wouldn't normally do for the tool i'm trying to simulate.)

Hi Kelly,

I have just set up a quick text input and a hotspot with a conditional trigger that jumps to the next slide if the input is correct and that worked okay on a single click. Without seeing what you've done, it's a bit difficult trying to fault find.

Are you able to post a copy of your Storyline file here as that would be a big help in solving your problem?

Many Thanks
