Triggers set in Update 3 not working after update to Update 4

Hi,
I am very disappointed and frustrated that the triggers I set when my storyline version is Update 3 no longer work after I update the storyline to Update 4.
I tried to delete and re-input the same triggers again and it still doesn't work. Therefore, I put another type of trigger and problem A comes out, and after some adjustment, problem A was solved but problem B comes out, then afterwards after problem B was solved, problem C comes out! It's like endless!
Did anyone encounter this problem? Is there a private link which I can share my file for analysis as the file is company's property.
HELP!! URGENT!!
Thanks and regards,
Emalyn

Not seen this, can you share a file where you remove the companies IP that shows the triggers not working? What is the combination of triggers that is not working?
Hi Emalyn,
I also haven't seen this and as Phil mentioned, it may be best to take a look at your file. To share an item privately, you could either send it as a private message if you wanted Phil to see it specifically, or if you wanted our team to take a look at it, you're always welcome to share items here.
Hi,
Apologies for the late reply. Was on leave for a long period.
Regarding the issue, I try to recreate the issue but it seems to work fine for now which is weird.
Anyway, if this issue occur again, I'll definitely quickly upload the file here.
Thanks all for the patience.
Cheers,
Emalyn
Hi Emalyn,
Thanks for the update, and I'm glad that everything is working normally now. Sometimes it just takes a restart.
Please keep us posted if you need anything else!
Hi,
I'm facing the trouble again. This time I figure out how to execute the weird behavior. I have attached the file, a slide from my project.
Phase 1: You have to click the headlines on the right at the newspaper then drag the strip of paper that pops up on the left at the board to either "Macroeconomics or Microeconomics".
Phase 2: You will have to drag all 8 options to the drop area then only you can click on SUBMIT button.
Phase 3: Whether the feedback is correct or incorrect, you may click on the strip of the paper and further information will show up as a speech bubble pointing to related paper strip.
Problem: Initially when without any touch on in the slide and preview it looks fine. But when I try to edit or even just delete some text in one of the speech bubbles NORMAL state in Phase 3, and then preview again, then go through all the phases up until Phase 3, the speech bubble appear to be weirdly behaving like when I click on "Fall..." (bubble appear) then when I click on "Used car..." (Fall's bubble disappear so as Used car's bubble which is supposingly Fall's bubble disappear and Used car's bubble appear, vice versa).
Besides that, even when I UNDO all the editing I did to the very initial point where the slide is untouched, at preview the bugs coming out to play again. Its quite frustrating though reapplying the trigger and the other methods I tried which did not work at all.
FYI: The below are the correct answers.
Macroeconomics:
Microeconomics:
Hope this can help catch the bugs. Been cracking head to solve this though
Thanks and regards,
Emalyn
Hi Emalyn,
Thanks for including the file here and describing the behavior. I tested the file a number of times, after making edits, and before making edits, and each time I previewed it I saw the correct "text bubble" during phase 3, and they appeared individually as seems to be the expected behavior. I'm not able to replicate what you're describing, which since it seems to work intermittently for you, I'd suggest that you check the following things in relation to your Storyline file:
Additionally, if there is some odd behavior in your Storyline file, I'd suggest importing it into a new Storyline file to see if that resolves the issue on your end. Additionally it may benefit you to conduct a repair of Storyline.
Hi Ashley,
I did try importing into a new storyline file but it is still the same.
By the way the edits you did is in incorrect layer or correct layer. I'm facing the issue when I edit n check in incorrect layer.
Could it possibly be different computer issue? For example sometimes it works fine at my computer today but it does not work at my colleague's computer and the next few days, mine doesn't work either.
But I'll try to repair the storyline and see how this goes.
Thanks!
Emalyn
Hi Emalyn,
How are you transferring the .story file from one computer to another? You'll want to follow this recommended workflow for collaborating on files with colleagues.
I also tried making an edit to the "incorrect" layer as you mentioned, and didn't experience the odd behavior in preview after that edit either. Since you mentioned sharing the file between computers and with your colleague I would suspect there may have been some issues if you weren't following the workflow mentioned. If the import did not change the behavior, it's possible the Storyline file has become corrupted, and unfortunately file corruption is not something reversible.
