Is there any way to have a trigger on one slide link to another slide and open a specific layer? It seems strange to me that we can link to a specific slide, but then not pinpoint which layer we want displayed
That doesn't quite work for me since I'm using a setup like pictured below. People could realistically be taken back several times to this slide to be recapped on different definitions.
I'm not sure I understand the picture you've shared - is that the base layer, and then each of those buttons on the right open up a new layer with the definitions? Can you offer a bit more explanation of how you'd like it to behave? Since layers are associated with particular slides, there aren't built in ways to jump to a particular layer - it will either return you to the last layer visited (if not hidden) or you'd need to use the method Phil mentioned in that thread about tracking a variable.
It's always a trigger to that slide, if you wanted it to be point to a particular layer, it would either have to be the last visited layer or by tracking a variable.
Have you thought about putting each layer on it's own slide and keeping them within a separate scene? It would add some size to your overall course, but this way you'd be able to then trigger back to the correct "layer." You could also still use the buttons and change their state when the user clicks on them to go to a particular slide.

No further ideas???
Hi Janel,

That is the base slide, each button is a layer. Later on in the show, people are directed back to this slide to get extra information...
is there a way to set a trigger to direct it to open a specific slide and then a layer, or is it always just the trigger on that specific slide?
