Triggers w/Conditions not working in Internet Explorer
Aug 24, 2016
Hello,
I have a Storyline that I have created that uses data entry boxes that are set with triggers/conditions. I did this because unlike the quiz feature, I needed all data boxes filled out appropriately.
When the user selects submit I should get a layer showing correct or incorrect based on the information that was entered. I can get this to show with Chrome, but not in Internet Explorer 11.
The rest of my Storyline seems to be working properly, it is just on this screen where I have the triggers/conditions. If it works with Chrome, I know that my conditions are set-up correctly.
Any suggestions?

Hi Nikole,
Are you uploading your course to a website to view it? Would you mind sharing your .story project file here so we can test this further? You can attach it in a comment right to this thread.
Eventually we will have it uploaded to a website, once it is finished. I am still in the beginning stages and have just noticed this.
Right now I am just publishing the story and viewing it.
Hi Nikole,
If you open an Articulate Storyline course from your local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, make sure to upload it to the environment for which it was published. For instance, if you were to Publish for Web you'll want to upload the published output to a web environment to properly test it.
I published your course for the web and uploaded it to tempshare to test it in a web environment. It seems to be behaving as expected in both Chrome and IE 11. You can view it here. Please note- that's a temporary link and will only be accessible for 10 days. Let me know if you're still seeing it not behaving properly there.
Thank you! I will give it a try.
It did work! I was unaware of the tempshare feature! I will definitely use this in the future!
Fantastic Nikole! I love tempshare and use it all the time, definitely comes in handy. So glad that worked for you, don't hesitate to reach out here if you have further questions :)
I was excited to find out an engineer came up with tempshare.
I realize it isn't officially supported by Storyline.
Just letting you know it fails to publish any project I throw at it. :(
It would've been a huge timesaver. :(

Hi Tim,
Sorry to hear that. It is a simple tool to use for testing and certainly does come in handy.
Were the courses HTML5 only by chance? Unfortunately, it won't work in that environment.
Looks like Walt has shared my 2nd favorite testing tool :)
