Has anyone had issues linking an object to an URL? I am setting the trigger in the way stated in the tutorials but once the course is published nothing happens. The mouse icon does change when you hover the object which suggests something is there but nothing, not even an empty web page. I know the site works and I have even set a trigger to well known and trusted sites to ensure it has nothing to do with the site i'm linking to.
Hi Luke! If you're testing the content locally but have published it for web, that might be the issue you're running into ... browser security restrictions will often prevent hyperlinks from working as expected when you try to view web-published content from your local hard drive. If you're publishing for web, LMS, or Articulate Online, try uploading your published output to its intended location and test from there. Or, if you need to test locally, publish for CD, and then test locally (since publishing for CD prepares the output for local viewing). Want to give those suggestions a try and then let us know how it goes?
Publishing to CD works the way it was intended. I haven't uploaded the course to the web to check out the other options but for now I have what I need.
