I have a multiple choice interaction that I've heavily modified so that I can give points to each answer. Because of that modification, when I need a second or third interaction, I will duplicate the MC slide and change the questions. When I do that, the text will look fine initially on the stage, but the text boxes change sizes between all the built in states. I makes the text jump around on the page, overlap, and become illegible. Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it? Even when I try to go into each state and adjust the boxes individually, it sometimes won't allow me to (text box snaps back to where it was before I resized it). Not to mention this would be incredibly tedious.
Are you able to confirm that you are working locally? As described here, working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior. Also, please give importing the file into a new file a shot to see if you find improvement. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline.
Please let us know if that helps and if not, we'll we what more we can do! :)
I am working locally. I had just downloaded the most recent update. Also, the slide itself was imported into the file I was working on. I went back and looked at the original and it was having the same issues.
I had to recreate it and go from there. It's almost like it was an issue because I had resized the text box. Recreating isn't a great solution, as I still have the issue in the original file, but I didn't know what else to do.
Thanks for that update. I'd like to see if you could walk us through the exact steps you go through and share a copy of your file. That way our team can test it in your actual file and then try to recreate it in a new file as well. You can post it here using the "add attachment" button.
