Trouble saving project

Jul 11, 2016

Hi all

I'm recording narration for my projects from home. I work from the same laptop accessing my work drives remotely. I'm having trouble saving my projects. Often when I open saved projects at work I get a message saying the file is corrupt and can't open it.

Now I can't save at all, I get a message saying 'the project file could not be saved. cannot access a disposed object. Object name: 'Story Package'. Can you please point me in the right direction.  I can't record at work, it's far too noisy and I seem to be wasting my time (my own time) recording at home.

thanks

Hi Mariana!

Thanks for reaching out here. When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Storyline courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. To avoid this, I recommend using the workflow outlined in this article making sure to move your courses to your local drive before editing and saving changes.
