Trouble with my published player size
Aug 31, 2015
Forgive me if this topic exists and has been addressed, I cannot find one in either the forums or support using the keywords that jump to mind.
The Issue:
When I publish my course, the player is sized to accommodate a side bar menu even though the menu is turned off. The result is a player with a very wide frame with respect to the slide.
I've tried turning the menu on, saving, turning it back off, saving, then publishing again. I reset the player settings to default and reapplied my customization before publishing again... all to no avail.
Attached is a screen shot of the output.
Any suggestions?

Hi Joseph
one or more of your slides will have the 'menu' option ticked in the slide properties. If you open in storyview and then click on each slide, look in the bottom right hand corner and check the properties to see which slide it is and uncheck the menu option.
Hi Joseph,
Yeah you tried the correct procedure, and if you uncheck the menu in player properties the player should resize itself by removing the blank space where menu was accommodated. But couldn't really figure out why this is happening in your story file.
You can try making the player transparent. Follow the below steps to make it transparent:
After making the player transparent, just try unchecking menu and other components. Seeing the image you attached I thought you would be including volume, next, previous button and seek-bar.
That was it! I had two light box slides that for whatever reason had been set to not use the player defaults. I almost never have reason to set player elements by slide (aside from Prev/Next buttons) so it wasn't even on my radar to check. Thanks for the suggestion!
Great you found out the solution
Glad you were able to get this working Joseph and thanks for popping in with an update.
