Trouble with Storyline 2 course and Saba People Cloud

Apr 08, 2016

Hi folks my course was too long to publish to SCORM 1.2, I was running into cmi.suspend issues because I need bookmarking.  SO as a fix to that issue, I published the course to SCORM 2004.

Now the course bookmarks well, and completes the following status items correctly when I view the details:

But SABA does not complete the course, and still shows "In Progress".

I'm hoping someone has a fix for this out there.  I be shoocked to learn that SABA People Cloud can't support SCORM 2004.

Thanks

Hi, Al -- Thanks for your question and just to confirm, have you reached out to Saba to inquire as to whether or not People Cloud can support SCORM 2004 and they said it cannot, or are you rather hoping someone here might have had a similar experience and can share some advice?

And may I ask if your course completes properly when you test via the SCORM Cloud? Please also see this article for additional info: How to Troubleshoot Your LMS with SCORM Cloud

I see, Al -- thanks for your reply!

And while I cannot speak to having used the Saba LMS personally, I thought I would pass along the following Saba/bookmarking related threads below. While the topics discussed may not be identical to what you have described, perhaps you could use the 'Contact Me' link on any of the participants' profile pages to reach out directly for additional assistance:

Hope that helps! :)

And Al, you may also want to take a look the the discussion here, as well.

As my colleague Leslie mentions there, "You may find that Articulate Storyline SCORM 1.2 content is never marked Completed or Passed in a Saba learning management system (LMS). Saba uses cmi.core.exit differently than most other LMSs, which prevents content from registering completion. Here's how to correct it."
