Is this an issue that anyone else has experienced? I can change the fill of the newly inserted button if I just pick a color, but if I want to use the eyedropper to select a specific color already on the slide, Storyline crashes and I have to do a forced quit. Is my computer perhaps missing something that the eyedropper requires to function? Like some helper app? Thanks for any help you can give!
I use the eyedropper tool constantly and have never had that issue. Maybe the slide itself is corrupt. You could try creating a new file and importing your project into that see if it fixes it.
I've tried it with a totally new project as well as an imported project and the results were the same with the eyedropper tool, which I really want to be able to use!
The files that I was using were all on the local drive of the machine with Storyline 2 installed. However, I was remoting into the machine. Would that cause a problem? I've been doing that without problem with Storyline 1 for quite a while.
Remotely accessing the local drive, will cause the same issues as working off a network or shared drive, so it seems that may be part of the issue you're running into.
Hi Janet! If you must work on two different computers regularly, I would advise that you utilize our collaborating workflow here. The EULA for your software license will allow a single user to have the software installed on two machines.

Hi Janet,
I'd look at going through the repair steps outlined here and ensure you're working on local project files as described here.

I often work from home and remotely access my work machine. Is there no way to work around this issue?
