Troubleshooting with states

Hi there,
I have a slide with buttons that trigger the road to different chapters when the user clicks on that button. To inform the learner that he has covered that section, the visited chapter appears 'visited' via a state. The button becomes green and gets a tick. I've edited this in the states-pane.

This has been programmed, to my knowledge, for each button in the same way. However, when checking the chapters: in three of the six buttons all works fine, in the three other the check arrives before the user clicks. I've redone the slide 100 times, but haven't come up with a solution. Any thoughts about what I'm doing wrong?
