I create a button called "Try Again" to allow users to go back through the interactive slides. The problem with this is, if one of the slides requires text, it will automatically show the text from the first time they did it. It will not allow you to retype it and it will not accept what was there from the first time. Anyone know how to fix this to allow people to redo the interactive section of the course? Any help is appreciated!
You will need to adjust your slide properties to "reset to initial state" when revisiting. If you are using variables, you may want to create triggers to adjust your variables back to their original values.
Did you build your interactivity with Quiz Questions?
Well, that is a good question I am not sure. Here is what I do. I create 2 scenes. The frist one is created in veiw mode. The second secene is created in try it mode. So the slide is for typing the answer is already created. It is in question form and I go in and put all variations of the possible answer. Do that help? The questions are not "graded" though as this is just practice.
This may sound like a dumb question, but how can I tell if I am using "variables?" I am fairly new to Storyline and have been learning this mostly as I go. I have set my properties according to your suggestion. However, when I preview the project and I go through it again, the information I previously typed is there. Now, when previewing I can delete it and put whatever I want, but when I publish it. I cannot.
Do you have your slide properties set to reset to initial state as Ron mentioned above?
Oh, and not a dumb question. Variables can be one of the tougher aspects, but if you didn't add them - you're probably not using them :) Check out our tutorial here.

Hi Melissa!
Looks like Ron is assisting you here. Please feel free to share your .story file if you need us to take a look.

It appears that the change in the properties worked. Thank you!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for the update Melissa :)
