Try Again Pop Up appearing after simple intro slide

Apr 12, 2021

Hi

My Try Me scene has an intro slide (slide 1) that talks about the purpose of the simulation. A "Start" button is provided to help the user advance to the next slide (slide 2) where the Try Me simulation actually begins. However, when I click the Start button in preview or publish mode, I first get the Try Again pop up before Slide 2 appears. I am not sure why this is happening--can someone please help? It looks like the Try Again pop up from slide 2 is being pulled somehow even before slide 2 appears. Slide 1 has only one layer and one object trigger for the Start button with the action to move to the next slide when the user clicks on it. Here is the source file for investigation.

That behavior is definitely unexpected. I don't see anything that would cause the Try Again layer to show when the timeline starts. During Preview, when I use the program's Select drop-down to go to the second slide, it opens just fine.

This seems like a job for the helpful Articulate staff. You can submit a case here:

Hi, Gopalakrishnan.

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing your .story file!

Like Judy mentioned above, this is certainly a strange behavior. However, I narrowed it down to the Start button on your first slide. Once I replaced it, the slide worked as expected.

I am attaching the edited file here.

Let me know if this works!
