I turned a screen recording into a Try It, but it did not seem to bring over the last two steps. I already went through and edited all the hints and now I am not sure what to do.

Note: While Storyline lets you record up to two hours for a single recording, not all machines are equipped to process this. We recommend recording smaller chunks to avoid any processing issues.
Let's try these steps:
If you're in story view, head to the Home tab; if you're in slide view, head to the Slides tab, and then click Record Screen. Does the recording appear in that view?
If yes, let's click on the recording to see if the last steps are available there.
Another way to recover recordings is to check your temp folder. Here's a quick video demo on how to locate those files.
