I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I have created a slide master that is blank except for a back button. I am trying to apply it and it shows that the slide is using this layout but I cannot see the button. What am I doing wrong?
Usually in these cases a graphic in the slide is hiding the button; remember that everything you put in the master layout is by default in the "background" of the slide, meaning that any overlaying element will hide what you put in the master. Feel free to share your .story for a further check!
In that case does this mean I have to go into each individual slide to add the back button? I remember some story files with a slide-menu and I cannot remember how they worked at the moment. I tried adding a hotspot which didn't work either.

If the slides are not in a huge number, I would paste the back button in each individual slide, it sounds like the simplest solution to me.
Thanks that works for me!
