Turning Next Button on and off...
Dec 11, 2015
I have an interaction that has 3 "doors" on the slide that the user can use to jump to specific slides by selecting each door. I am attempting to hide the next button until the user selects each door. I can hide the next button - but can't get it to re-appear. I'm setting the state of the next button based on the state of the doors. (when door is clicked, it's state is set to hidden and another image shown) The next button's state should change to "normal" when all three doors are hidden. The doors function correctly - but the next button never displays.
I've tried everything I can to get this to work. I've used variables too. Nothing I try is working. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Loralie
Variables should definitely work for this situation - do you want to upload the slides - might be easier for someone to help if they can see the setup
Hi Wendy! I've uploaded a piece of this so folk can take a look. We did try variables... they seemed to be counting, but still didn't show the next button. Thanks so much for the support!
Hi Loralie
see if the attached works how you want it to. I created three new T/F variables called descriptive, prescriptive and predictive and set them to trigger on each of their respective slides. Then on the main door slide, I set two new triggers for the next button.
Hope that helps..shout out if I can be of any more assistance.
I imported it into a new story file as it was over 100MB to upload - so it just has the 5 scene slides in it not all the other slides you uploaded
Oops file didn't attach...
Thanks Wendy!
Wendy - so, I pulled over what you added into my project. (3 variables and the 2 change state triggers). What else did you add? I evidently missed something since it still doesn't work for me. Your version works... I just don't see what I'm missing. Thanks!
I removed all the triggers you had on the door slide for the next button and added my two slide triggers - I think there was 2 or 3
Are you based in Australia? Easier to talk my mobile is 0419047732
