Tutorials

Jan 16, 2013

Hi,

I just joined E-Learning Heroes and have been spending some time on Articulate Storyline tutorials.  Two questions here:

1. I see some hands-on practice options in some of the tutorials - do we need to have Articulate Storyline software installed to do the hands on activities?

2. Does Articulate Storyline have a specific Mac version?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Sejal,

First, I'd like to welcome you to the community!

With the hands-on tutorials, yes, you will need Storyline installed to fully participate.

With Mac, yes and no. There is no Mac version of the software. However, there are still options for running the software on a Mac.

Here's some additional information that may help:

Storyline does not currently run on Macintosh computers.  If you'd like to suggest Mac support, please submit a feature request directly to our product development team.

In the meantime, you can run Storyline in a Windows virtual environment on a Mac.  Common virtual environments include Bootcamp, Parallels, and VMware Fusion.

If you're using Parallels, please review these best practices for working with Articulate software.

Note:  Although Storyline can't be used on a Mac to create, edit, or publish content, you can view published content on a Mac with a supported browser.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot.  Its good I asked before trying to download the practice activities.  Unfortunately, I have a Mac at home and hence wont be able to download the software.  But I think the tutorials are still very useful and will be happy to go through them.  I will also look at the additional links / info you have sent me.  Thanks a lot.
