Two Question Banks, One Result Slide

Apr 20, 2020

I have come into an issue, and I was wondering if there is any way to solve this.  My client has a policy that his employees need to read through.  There are two separate categories of employees, so there are two question banks.  The employee will read their policy, then click on the button that reflects them.  This button will take them to the corresponding question bank.  I only have one result slide... as I only need the module to report one score to SCORM.  But, the result slide is trying to combine scores from both question banks when the employee is only taking one.  The employee could score a 100% on their section, but it will show 50% because they didn't do the questions on the other question bank.  Any idea how to fix this issue?  Thank you!

Hi Stefanie,

Thank you for reaching out!

At this time, Storyline lets you track a course either by the number of slides viewed, by course completion trigger, or by a single result slide. There are a couple of options that I hope will help achieve the design you are looking for:

  • If you simply want to mark the course as "passed" if the learner receives a passing score, an option to look into is using a course completion trigger.
  • I came across another community thread that provides some insights into using branching quizzes. You can find more details on this here: Quiz branching.

I am hoping that others in the community will jump in to share their insights!
