Hello I have a Pre-test and Post-Test I have created in a course with the same questions. I need a result for each test to show the value of the training.
Will learners take both the pre and post test? If so, you can set each one up with their own results slide to showcase the score to the learner, and then a master results slide which tracks the other two. When setting that final slide up you'll choose between options of:
User must pass each quiz
Select this option if learners must pass each individual quiz (represented by each result slide) in order to pass the overall course.
If learners fail any quiz in the course, then they fail the entire course.
Combine points from each quiz
Select this option if you want the scores from all tracked result slides to be added together as the final score for the course, then enter a percentage in the Passing Score field.
In this scenario, a learner could fail one or more of the individual quizzes and still pass the overall course.
That final slide will be the one you track and report to the LMS. Let me know if you have any questions on that!
Thank you Ashley. This is helpful to report the Post test only to the LMS. What can I do to get a report on the grade for the Pretest to show Leadership. For example, John got 60% on his Pretest. Everyone will need to take the course regardless of their grade. Then John took the course and received a 90%. The course has value in the John's knowledge skills improved. I will need to do this with every student that takes the course.
Currently, I added a survey question to the Post test for the student to select their grade. I would like to find a way to populate this grade without the student having to select it. My understanding is that surveys don't count as part of the grade. Then I was hoping I can view the answers to the survey question only.

The variables associated with a Quiz Result are built-in to Storyline, but you could easily reference it in another question such as a Survey-How Many question type. Here's an example of what that trigger looks like:
Since it's a survey question, there are no points assigned to it, but you'll still want to track this on the results slide for your post-quiz to send the answer to your LMS. You can also use that post-quiz results slide as the option for tracking purposes.
