Two Users at Single Business Experiencing No Launch for Entire Catalog- Buried Local Security Setting?

Jan 07, 2020

Greetings-

I am encountering an issue with 2 users from the same business who are encountering the attached launch screen for every single course in the catalog.

The LMS I manage is for external users at independent businesses.

Flash is enabled in their browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Explorer) and since it consistent for both users and all the PCs at their business I am guessing there is a security setting buried by the IT team preventing frames from launching across the board.

1500 Other Users have launched/completed the course without issue.

Any assistance knowing where that may be would be greatly appreciated.

Browser Must Be Able To View Frames

Hi there, Michael.

Thanks for walking us through the problem. While I'm glad to hear the content loads for the majority of learners, we also want to make sure it works for the affected two folks!

To help us troubleshoot, could you share more detail on your publish format settings? Also, what LMS are you using?

In the meantime, I found a similar version of that error in this discussion that may help!

Thank you for those additional details, Michael!

After consulting with our team on this, your theory is spot-on: The error the affected learners ran into occurs when the browser does not have support for frames enabled.

We recommend to work with the IT team on enabling that option, but do feel free to reach out to our Support Engineers if they still run into the error after that.
